La Pineda – Eurovelo 8 – Pantà Gaià (BTT)
Description
La Pineda – Eurovelo 8 – Pantà Gaià (BTT). Challenging BTT route linking La Pineda with the inland natural areas of Tarragona, following sections of the EuroVelo 8 and heading towards the Gaià reservoir.
Starting from La Pineda, the route combines coastal paths with inland tracks, gradually leaving the sea behind and entering more rural and forested terrain. The middle section concentrates most of the elevation gain, with sustained climbs and varied terrain leading towards the Pantà del Gaià, the highlight of the route.
After reaching the reservoir, the route continues through rolling hills and natural landscapes before descending back towards the coastal area, completing a long and demanding loop with a mix of surfaces and scenic contrasts.
