R11 LA EXPRESS
Description
Circular MTB route from Jaca that runs through the southwest of Jaca, with views of Peña Oroel almost the whole time. It is a short but intense route that requires a certain technical level and combines tracks, some road and all kinds of trails, both uphill and downhill.
We leave Jaca towards the village of Barós and there we enter the PR-Barós trail through a beautiful pine and boxwood forest that takes us to the road of the Parador de Oroel.
From there we tackle the Calzadas trail on the descent. A legendary route very well known to local MTB cyclists, as it features along its length steps, roots, a natural stone wallride, and varied vegetation and humidity. Although it is not very long, it will make the biker sweat and bring out their best skills.
The end of the trail leaves us on the A-1205 road, from where we climb a tough trail passing Fontazones and reaching the parideras of Sesún (lambing pens). From the Pereretas point we descend a fun trail until joining the Camino de Santiago to enter Jaca.
