SELECCIÓN TOP TENERIFE: San Miguel de Abona – Chafiras

On this road cycling route we take you along some of the most famous asphalt roads in the south of the island of Tenerife.

We leave the municipality of San Miguel de Abona on the Carretera General del Sur. On your right you will have spectacular, panoramic views, with the sea in the background, as you tackle small climbs and descents and many curves, on one of the most enjoyable roads for cyclists in Tenerife.

After crossing Charco del Pino, Granadilla de Abona and Los Blanquitos, we start the descent via El Salto to San Isidro.

We choose roads to minimise traffic, remembering that when descending you can occupy the centre of the road for your safety.

We will head towards Las Chafiras on a secondary asphalted road with almost no motorised vehicles, to finish the route with more than 13 kilometres of ascent, via La Buzanada and La Centinela, bordering the Roque de Jama Natural Monument and returning to San Miguel de Abona.
